"To God be the Glory"

Upon performing a miracle, people looked at Peter and John amazed. Peter was quick to correct them, asking, "Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?"

He made it a point to let them know that it isn't by their own power that this man was healed. Peter and John could've taken the glory for themselves. They could've made a name for themselves as miracle workers or mighty beings. They knew, however, that the glory for miracles belongs only to Jesus.

As we take authority in Christ's name, let's be sure to we give the glory to the very name that empowers us: Jesus. It's only by His name that we are able to command healing, preach the gospel and perform signs and wonders. It's only by His name that we do what we do. It's not for our personal gain, but the glory of His name alone. He's the one with the power to touch lives and change them completely. We stand grateful that, first and foremost, He is the one who changed us.

Were there times when God used you mightily in a situation and you weren't able to give back the glory to Him? Are you glorifying God or glorifying yourself through your conversations, profile pages, or social media accounts?

Whether the person accepted Christ or not, you've been used by God to be a miracle to someone, make it a habit to always thank God for using you to advance His kingdom.
