Go: Your Action Plan To Change The WorldSample
"Cut to the Heart"
READY
In sharing the gospel, sometimes we're tempted to persuade the person to believe in God through our own efforts. When they respond negatively to the gospel, we feel rejected or frustrated. If Jesus promised He’ll be with us, why would He allow us to experience this, we might ask.
When the crowd heard Peter’s preaching, the Bible says they were “cut to the heart.” In other Bible translations, it says there that they were “pierced to the heart.” Another translation tells us they "had a deep conviction." It’s like a sword penetrating a body, creating severe damage.
But why did it happen? Was it because of Peter’s courageous, deep and baritone voice? Was it because he had a smooth and organized train of thought? The answer is none of those. It was something more powerful. The reason the crowd responded so repentantly was because of the word of God.
The Bible says that God’s word is living and active. It penetrates the hearts of the people. It is so powerful that it can change one’s life. His words are our greatest weapon as we conquer the campus. The good news is that it takes away the burden in us to convict. That’s not our job at all. We are to preach and share the gospel and the rest is up to God.

About this Plan
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commissioned the disciples to GO and make disciples of all nations. This comprehensive study on Acts aims to empower student believers to boldly preach the gospel with the goal to change the world one campus at a time.
