Go: Your Action Plan To Change The World

DAY 11 OF 32

"Facing Rejection" READY Imagine this scenario: You are so passionate in sharing the gospel. You feel like you are making a difference in your campus. You see the results. Your classmates and friends are accepting Jesus. Some are thankful you invited them to church or small group. Then suddenly, some people mock you. They call you are weird, over religious and even self-righteous. What would you do? It's interesting to note that the first disciples, the apostles themselves, were mocked when they received the Holy Spirit. In fact, all throughout Acts, not only were they mocked, but also persecuted and even martyred for the sake of the Christ. The question is, did that stop them? No. They continued. In fact, it made them bolder. It shouldn't surprise us that people will disagree with our message. Sin causes people to reject the truth, unless the Holy Spirit changes them. The Bible promises that some people really will disagree with us. So when other people ridicule you, don't let it stop you from preaching the gospel. Remember, their salvation is not about us or our effort. It's all about God's love and God's power to change people. Our job is to obey. Don’t be discouraged when people don’t believe. Many people will believe and God will win the others over. SET When was the last the time you were mocked because of your faith? How did you feel about it? How does this truth help you in your quest to advance God's kingdom in your campus? GO Start a conversation with a friend or a classmate that sets up the sharing of the gospel. Remember not to be shaken if they disagree, understanding that it is part of the package. Thank God when that friend or your classmate receives Jesus. Be as grateful for the grace that God has given you when he or she decides not to.

About this Plan

Go: Your Action Plan To Change The World

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commissioned the disciples to GO and make disciples of all nations. This 31-day devotional chronicles how a number of unschooled, ordinary men heeded that command, preaching a message that changed hundreds and then thousand and then generations. This comprehensive study on Acts aims to empower student believers to boldly preach the gospel with the goal to change the world one campus at a time.
