Extended Memorization Of Scripture: 2 PeterSample
Peter is committed to keep these truths in front of us at all times. We need constant reminders that we must work hard to grow in Christlikeness by trusting in God’s powerful promises.
Peter acts in the same way that a faithful pastor does today—stirring up God’s people to vigorous action by way of constant reminders.
Recite yesterday’s verse, 2 Peter 1:11, ten times, being sure to include the verse number. Again, you should look at the screen if you need to refresh your memory. Old verses next, altogether: Recite 2 Peter 1:1-11 together once, being sure to include the verse numbers.
Now, recite your new verse. Read 2 Peter 1:12 out loud ten times, looking at each word as if photographing it with your eyes. Be sure to include the verse number. Then cover the screen and recite the verse ten times.

About this Plan
Adapted from An Approach To Extended Memorization Of Scripture, by Dr. Andrew Davis, this 62 day plan will take the reader through 2 Peter using a tried and tested approach of memorizing a new verse each day. At the end of the 62 day period the reader will have the entire book of 2 Peter memorized.
