DAY 6 OF 15

Never Gone: Colton Dixon

We were made to be in community with one another. When God created Adam in the garden, He said that it wasn’t good for Adam to be alone, so He created Eve. That wasn’t just speaking about being married or single, but revealing the way God created us to live; in community with one another.

I think we can all agree that at times, we have felt very alone, and even isolated. Maybe it’s a result of life circumstances, or simply just feeling a void inside of us. I find it so interesting that we can be surrounded by people at school, work, or wherever on a daily basis, and yet still feel so alone.

Thankfully there are promises of God that we can hold onto in these moments. As Moses is about to step aside as the leader of the people of Israel, he reminds them of the promises God made to him at an earlier time. Moses reminds the people that no matter what they go through, God will never leave them or forsake them. No matter what the situation may be, no matter how bad things get, Moses is reminding them that God is in this for the long haul.

That promise is something we need to hold on to ourselves today. That no matter our situation, no matter how much we’ve messed up, God is still walking with us in this moment. Be reminded this day that even in this moment, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, and God hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s right beside you.
