In our lives, we are constantly met with pressures to compromise in our faith, and be like the people around us. After all, many of us just want to be part of the group, and belong. Sometimes this may lead us into situations in which we find ourselves tempted to partake in things that would be contrary to what God says is good for our lives. Some of these things are just straight up sinful in the eyes of God, and are things we need to run away from as believers.

How do we approach these situations? Do we compromise? Do we give in? Do we act ashamed of our faith?

The bottom line is this; we should be EXCITED about our faith in God. The decisions we make in our lives should be made with great joy, as a reflection of our love for God. He is the one in whom we find our identity and joy!

We don’t need to find our belonging or joy in drugs, partying, alcohol, or sex. We are unashamed of who we put our trust in!

Ask yourself today; are there areas in your life you’ve been tempted to compromise? Are there times when you have been ashamed of your faith? Ask God to forgive you for those situations, and ask him for the help in living a life UNASHAMED!
