When jewelers advertise their merchandise, they love to boast about the durability of their gems. Unlike gifts of flowers or clothes, “Diamonds are forever.” Well, diamonds are indeed one of the hardest substances on the face of the earth. But even diamonds will disintegrate when judgment day comes and the whole universe is taken apart.
Do you want something that will last forever, I mean really forever? The Lord Jesus promises that all who trust in him as their Savior will have life--eternal life. Raised from the dead, transformed and radiant in glory, we will not merely exist forever, but as the Bible promises in Revelation 22:5, we “will reign for ever and ever.” Now that’s good news you can use!
