Sometimes we wonder what our purpose is in life. We can feel aimless. If you are a wife, one of your purposes is laid out clearly in Genesis 2:18. God said "it is not good for the man to be alone" so He created a helper suitable for him. God created the woman to be a helper to her husband. This is not an easy truth to swallow for a modern woman. Our culture makes this role out to be demeaning or weak.

But there is power in knowing who you are in Christ and fulfilling the role that God created you to be. Take the time today to listen to your husband's needs, ask where you can lend a hand, try not to criticize and boss him and instead — help him. Allow your marriage to blossom as you step into the role that only you can fill in your husband's life.
