Shine Like Stars: Devotions From Time of GraceSample
A Witness That Shines: God's stars value his Word
New employees in the marketing department don't start writing and selling their first day on the job. They must first spend some time learning about their products and services. They can't sell what they don't know.
If you are going to venture to speak for God, it is imperative that you know what you are talking about. The world has enough chatter about people's personal opinions, and nobody is likely to change his or her mind-set or lifestyle just because you say so. And so God's stars drink deeply of God's Word first for themselves before they attempt to share this water of life with others. Psalm 119:16 says, "I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word."
Could you say that with a straight face? Or do you and your family need to get back into your Bible? Will you be in the Word today?
