Walking in God's PresenceSample

Still Working
We cannot possibly see the full picture of our lives. As such, we easily get tangled in the day-to-day details. We base our failures and success on our perceptions, and we hold ourselves to timelines that we’ve decided are reasonable. We fall into the trap of comparison, and we consistently wonder if we are succeeding or failing. Instead, we should remember that God is the only one truly in control. He is the one who sovereignly sees every detail of our lives. His perception is perfect, and he will faithfully carry out his purposes for each person who calls upon his name.
You are not finished. Your life is still unfolding, and God isn’t done working in and through you. Don’t despair over the parts of your life that don’t look how you want. Trust that God knows exactly what he’s doing. Surrender to him and trust his timing over your own. He might move in ways you don’t understand, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t faithful. Part of submitting to his leadership is acknowledging that you don’t have all the answers. He will lead you down the right path even when it doesn’t make sense to you in the moment.
God won’t let a minute of your life go to waste. Every mountain, valley, oasis, or desert can be used for his glory. He is capable of using each of your experiences, positive or negative, to accomplish his purposes in your life. Nothing is random, misused, or overlooked in the hands of God. Every single moment of your days is accounted for.
Today, take a deep breath and open your hands. Loosen your grip and surrender control. Remember that God sees every part of your story. You are not behind, and you are not forgotten. Your kind Father knows exactly where you are going and how you are going to get there. If you let him, he will faithfully guide, teach, and equip you. Keep walking in faith, just one step at a time.
