Pray for JapanSample

The working culture in Japan makes it very difficult for Japanese men to seek fellowship with other Christians. They work from early morning until late at night, and the culture of loyalty causes the men to feel the necessity to join their bosses at a drinking place after work hours. The only day that is free for them is Sunday. So it is difficult for them to attend church because of needs back home. When Japanese men become Christians, they need to be protected and discipled. We know from experience and also from God`s word, that fellowship with other Christians is very important for the growth of our faith. Because of the structure of the society, this is very hard to implement for Japanese men.
So the men in Japan who have received Jesus really need protection. We all need that. Paul reminds us about how important it is to put on God's full armor every day. He urges us to put on truth and justice. We can be sure about what God's Word declares, so we will not be deceived by lies. We need fellowship with other Christians so that we can integrate God's truths into our lives. If you walk alone, it can be difficult to firmly hold on to the truth in God's Word.
Prayer: Let us pray for protection and for miraculous, life-giving fellowship among Christian men in Japan.
“Be alert, and always keep on praying for all the saints.” - Ephesians 6:18

About this Plan

Our own prayer life is often focused around our own needs. In these devotionals, you will get the opportunity to pray for something important outside of yourself. When Jesus taught his diciples to pray, he gave them "Our Father." One of the prayers are "Your kingdom come." Let's pray together for Japan, which is an unreached nation. Prayer is a key to reaching the nations, and here you can help make a difference!
