Pray for JapanSample

Through the whole Bible, we see how God lifts up those who are “nobodies” in the eyes of others. The worthless, the most unworthy, those looked down upon, the poorest of all, are those whom God wishes to use for his glory and joy. He reminds of this through the gift of the poor widow.
We can also see this principle in the story of Saul and David, who were chosen as kings against all odds. We can see this also in the unlikely people Jesus chose as his disciples. None of them were well-educated religious leaders. They were fishermen, common laborers, and just average people.
Gideon, mentioned here in Judges, was called by God to save his people in a war against the Midianites. Gideon thought of himself as the weakest and youngest man. But God called him a mighty warrior. God uses the nobodies for his glory. The Yoron people are a small people group composed of about 900 people. They are mostly fishermen and farmers. They live on a very small island in southern Japan. And we now know how much God cares for the very least ones. We invite you to pray that Yoron will become known as a place of God`s great works.

About this Plan

Our own prayer life is often focused around our own needs. In these devotionals, you will get the opportunity to pray for something important outside of yourself. When Jesus taught his diciples to pray, he gave them "Our Father." One of the prayers are "Your kingdom come." Let's pray together for Japan, which is an unreached nation. Prayer is a key to reaching the nations, and here you can help make a difference!
