Day 7: Easter Sunday

Read Matthew 28:1–10

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns!’” (1 Chronicles 16:31 NIV)

What an extraordinary day to be a follower of Jesus!

Our risen King reigns. He has kept His promise, defeated hell, and taken the sting out of death - for all eternity! Today, we stand in the victory of Jesus Christ, alive and triumphant.

Of all the days in the Christian calendar, Easter Sunday is the pinnacle of celebration. More than Christmas, today represents the fullness of His power, love, and the incredible hope we have in Him. Let this truth wash over you and ignite your passion for walking with Him every single day.

Take a moment to remember the day Jesus called your name and you gave your life to Him. Reflect on His faithfulness, His mercy, and His overwhelming grace. Sit with Him, and let your heart be filled with gratitude for the wondrous works He has done!

Do Not Miss the Magnitude of Matthew 28:1–10.

The resurrection is not a quaint story - it is a demonstration of the raw power of God.

Picture the scene: an angel of the Lord descends from heaven, his face shining like lightning, his clothes as white as snow. Imagine the fear and awe as this mighty being rolls back the stone, proclaiming the greatest news the world has ever heard:

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!”

Imagine looking into the empty tomb and realising the enormity of this moment: Jesus has conquered sin and death. Everything He set out to accomplish on the cross is complete.

This is a moment of cosmic significance - one that demands our attention, reverence, and celebration!

How does his victory embolden you today?

Today is a day to celebrate, rejoice, and be empowered by the truth of the resurrection.

• What can you do to celebrate this incredible victory - not just today, but every day of your life?

Whether it’s sharing the Good News with someone, spending time in heartfelt worship, or reflecting on the power of the resurrection, let this day propel you forward with renewed hope and purpose.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NIV)

Father God,

Hallelujah! Jesus, thank You for defeating death and winning new life for all of us who call you Lord and Saviour. Help me to live with joy and purpose in Your resurrection power and may you open up a door of utterance for the Gospel in all the days ahead of my life so that I do not waste the opportunity to share my hope in you with the world around me.
