Memorizing Your BibleSample

Memorizing Your Bible

DAY 1 OF 7

Welcome to this practical and challenging reading plan!

Have you done Bible memorization before? Most people have memorized a few verses.

But... have you ever memorized an entire psalm or a complete chapter?

Doing this is amazing! Why?

  • You will get to know God better.
  • You will fill your mind with the most valuable thing—God’s Word.
  • You will increase your Bible knowledge.
  • You will give less space to false and negative thoughts.
  • The Holy Spirit will be able to remind you of Scripture.
  • You will be "like a tree planted by streams of water!" (Psalm 1:3)

So… plenty of reasons to start! Begin today.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Spiritual life is meant to grow. You start like a flower, but the goal is to become a strong tree. This takes time. Maybe a lot of time. It requires learning, gaining experience, and going through challenges—just like a real tree goes through seasons every year: storms, rain, heat, cold…

The same principle applies to spiritual growth: God uses both hard and easy times to help us grow. Though everything takes time.

So, the question is: Do you want to remain a flower, or do you want to become a strong tree?

Memorization is an important part of giving yourself the best nourishment for growth!

In this reading plan, you will memorize all of Psalm 1.

How will you do it?

By memorizing just one verse per day. It will take some time and discipline!

But God wants His Word to be memorized. Colossians 3:16 (NIV) says:

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly."

That means not just in your Bible or on your phone—but in your mind and heart!!

Today, read through the psalm a few times. Do you understand everything?

Ask God for help this week so you can accomplish this.

From my experience, if you make this a daily habit, God will bless you in extraordinary ways.

Many blessings!
