Take a Bow

DAY 13 OF 28

The Apostle Paul could have been arrogant and confident in his achievements. After all, he’d accomplished a lot! He helped start the early church, shared the message of Jesus, and encouraged so many people to follow Jesus. If anybody had a reason to lift themselves up, it was him! Instead of taking credit, Paul only boasted about following Jesus. He found his confidence in sharing the message of Jesus with the world, and he did it with humility. Rather than making it all about himself, Paul made it all about Jesus.

The rest? Well, the rest didn’t matter! For him, knowing Jesus and making him known was the ultimate purpose. And the same can be true for us! In all we do, our purpose is to share the love of Jesus with those around us. When we make it about Him, we’ll choose a path of confidence and humility.

Today, talk to your Small Group about what it might look like to make your life about Jesus. If you’re unsure or haven’t taken this step in your faith, reach out to a trusted adult (like your Small Group Leader!) to consider more of what this might mean for your life.
