Take a Bow

DAY 18 OF 28

Have you ever had to do a three-legged race? Think back to field day in elementary school to refresh your memory! In the game, your leg is tied to your teammates’ leg, and together, you must move like you make up one body. It’s hilarious to watch and much harder than it sounds! To cross the finish line together, you have to work together every step of the way.

For some of us, that’s easier than for others! We often look at life more like a solo sprint. We think we’ve got to do it all alone, but eventually, we get weary and tired of running alone. In reality, God created us to run life like that three-legged race. Yes, it sounds crazy, but it’s true! We’re created to support one another, each working on our purpose and using our gifts to support each other and share God’s love with the world. When we work together with confidence and humility, that’s the body of Christ in action.

Think about the people in your life that might be hard to love or understand. This week, ask God to remind you that they’re part of the same body of Christ, too! Pray that God will reveal the beauty in your differences and allow you to work together for God’s glory.
