Brawn – Made to be Brave

When we say “Strong Girls have Brawn,” we are referring to being capable and courageous. Specifically, physically capable and morally courageous. And that is God’s design for girls.

Strong Girls are designed to be physically capable. That means you work to have strength, endurance, and flexibility. You don’t have to be a competitive athlete, but you should be healthy and strong. Life brings lots of physical challenges and being healthy helps you handle them. Eating clean, exercising, and getting quality sleep are three big pieces of having the energy you need for life!

Strong Girls are also made to be courageous. You have the mental, emotional, spiritual, and moral courage needed to go against the cultural flow and walk in freedom in Christ. You will face pressure. You will also face an enemy that wants to keep you stuck in mistakes. But, you will bounce back from setbacks, thrive through challenges and hardships, and battle against the enemy and his tactics.

You are designed to enjoy and experience a rich, satisfying, and meaningful life; that’s what Jesus calls abundance. True brawn comes from depending on Jesus. Without brawn, you will shrink back from opportunities and miss out on this great adventure.

Strong Girls are strong in mind, body, and spirit.

Let’s talk about 3 key ways to “bring the brawn” and create true strength for an abundant life.

1. Go For It! Don’t be afraid to try new things that you may not be naturally good at. Don’t let doubts or fears make you live a small life. God didn’t give you a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.
2. Build Spiritual Muscle! Spiritual muscle grows when you take your personal, private relationship with Jesus and make it public. Actively live out your faith and become comfortable identifying with Jesus. Be brave enough to express your faith no matter who you are with.
3. Go Against the Flow. Moral courage empowers you to do the right thing, no matter what. That’s spiritual brawn. This requires full dependence on the power of God in you. Develop the brawn to overcome temptations and take the better path.

Strong Girls bring the brawn. You go for it and develop a strength of body and character that makes you capable and courageous, no matter the challenge.

Everyone can have brawn because everyone can be brave. You are made to be brave.
