The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1

DAY 22 OF 35

Hey there! Thanks for coming back! I hope you’ve been enjoying these studies so far. Let’s try one more.

Today we’re focusing on Talking to God.

Unlimited minutes are a great thing on your phone. Ok, well, maybe not in movie theaters or while driving—or if you might happen to have a teenage daughter. But getting good connection and being able to talk with anyone, anywhere and anytime is what I would call a good thing.

When it comes to prayer, the Bible tells us we’re fully connected-- 4 bars with unlimited minutes.

We can make this pretty complicated I guess, but prayer is really nothing more than talking to God-- anywhere, anytime. And whether we see it or not, the Bible says He hears us when we pray.

We might not get all the answers we want when we want them. But something good starts as we trust Him and listen in. It’s not magic fairy dust. Sometimes God changes our circumstances. Other times He gives us the strength we need to make it through.

But whatever happens around us, something happens in us. Through this, we let Him shape our perspective on those things we’re praying about.

But don’t just take my word for it. Read it for yourself. Click on the button below to find out more about prayer.

Reflection:

How would you describe your prayers? It’s so much easier to focus on what you want rather than what God has already given you, isn’t it? Write down some things for which you are thankful. What are some next steps you can take to pray more and more in the next week?
