Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me (Acts 27:25).
Where do you turn to have your spiritual spine stiffened during a storm?
Paul travels to Rome with a military escort; however, God first has an appointment for him to keep. The ship is lost during a storm, but no lives are lost, thanks to the Lord. An angel had told Paul before the wreck, “You must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you” (Acts 27:24). Earlier, during a mission trip to Corinth “the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you’” (Acts 18:9-10). We can rely upon Jesus, who says, “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20).
Employment Point: Depend upon Jesus and His Word even during a storm.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
