Have you ever been somewhere that's different from what you’re used to? Perhaps it’s a different school, where the uniforms and school rules are different; there are signs up saying “Keep off the grass,” and if you don’t have your hat, you can’t play outside at lunchtime. Perhaps it’s another country where not only the language is different, but the food, transport, and way people do things are different, too.

We are part of a kingdom. Paul says in Philippians that people of this world think only of earthly things, but as Christians, we are citizens of heaven, members of the kingdom of God, with Christ as our King.

The kingdom of God has a different language. You can spot a citizen of God’s kingdom in how they speak. It’s a language of hope and faith. You can spot a citizen of God’s kingdom by how they are dressed, not from what you see on the outside, but by their life clothed in the Armour of God.

In God’s kingdom, there is no divide between country, colour, age, or gender. How can we be a part of God’s kingdom? When we make God the king in our lives, we are part of God’s kingdom. We are family; God is the Father, and we are His children. All who believe are part of God’s kingdom. We belong to the kingdom of God.
