Altar Ego

DAY 24 OF 35

When you get an altar ego, you become who God says you are. God specializes in giving ordinary people extraordinary boldness. Acts 4 says that both Peter and John were ordinary men, but they spoke with such boldness that people were amazed. They were regular people who had been with Jesus. Their boldness was their behavior born out of belief. The more you believe in God, the bolder you are going to become. That may require you to spend more time in God’s word, to confront someone that is doing something wrong, or to decide not to partake in something that might cause you to spiritually stumble. If you want to become bolder, then take the steps you need to in order to increase your faith in Christ. Describe a time when you were bold. What was the outcome of your boldness and what did you learn from it?

About this Plan

Altar Ego

If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
