Altar EgoSample
Not only will God give you a new name as you develop a more God-centered view of yourself, but He will also give you a new purpose. You can see this illustrated in the Bible with Simon who was unpredictable, unstable, and unfaithful. Jesus looked at Simon and told him that he would now have a new purpose. Instead of fishing for fish, Simon was now going to fish for men. Jesus used Simon to reach people and gave him the new name of Peter. Even though Simon Peter was not always faithful, God still used him on the Day of Pentecost to lead 3,000 people to Christ. Peter became who God called him to be and lived up to his new purpose. God will often take your greatest weakness and out of it will emerge your greatest strength. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. What God-given purpose are you growing into? What new steps do you need to take to embrace that purpose?

About this Plan
If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
