Altar Ego

DAY 20 OF 35

One of the best examples in Scripture of someone that overcome a very negative label was Rahab. Six of the eight times she was mentioned in the Bible was with the label of being a prostitute. Rahab suffered with one of the most despicable and demeaning labels a young lady could have. As a result, it was unlikely she could ever have a godly man or any type of godly marriage. She ultimately ended up risking her own life to save some spies that worshiped the God of Israel. She wondered if their God could become her God and took a step of faith by reaching out to this God that loved her, accepted her, and transformed her. By His grace and goodness, God brought into her life a Godly man named Salmon. Even more amazing is the fact that one of her ancestors turned out to be Jesus. Out of the woman who was marked and labeled by others, God helped bring about the Savior of the world. It doesn’t matter what others have said about you. It only matters what God says about you. You are who God says you are. How should having a God-centered view of yourself change the way you see yourself?

About this Plan

Altar Ego

If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
