Altar Ego

DAY 17 OF 35

In order to stop believing the lies about yourself that others have told you, your next step is to develop a God-centered view of yourself. So many people have an “others-centered view” of themselves and that view can be unhelpful and inaccurate. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come. To begin forming a new, God-centered view of yourself, you must first realize that God will give you a new name. God will break the labels of your past. All throughout the Bible there are examples of God giving people new names like Abram and Sarai. They were given the new names Abraham and Sarah by God to show that they would be the father and mother of many nations. If you don’t feel like you are worthy of a new name given by God, don’t worry because you will grow into your new name. What new name would best describe your new life in Christ?

About this Plan

Altar Ego

If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
