Mothers You Are Not Alone!

DAY 5 OF 6

Become the Best You

Habits define us. Our daily emotional, physical, or spiritual routines define who we are. Think about it: if you’re always late to take your kids to school, you become known for being a late person. Your habits reflect your true self.

It’s essential to stop and think about why we need change. This is your call to examine your present habits and understand the powerful impact that developing new ones can have on both you and your children.

In the Bible, Galatians 6:7-8 says, “Don’t be fooled: You can’t outsmart God. A person harvests what they plant. If they plant to satisfy their earthly desires, they’ll harvest devastation; but if they plant to satisfy the Spirit, they’ll harvest eternal life.” This reminds us that our actions have consequences, and positive change calls for purposeful action. To be the best version of yourself, you must be willing to shed mediocrity. It’s about redirecting focus from what you want to stop doing to what you want to achieve. Commit to this change; over time, you will embody the quality you aspire to.

Proverbs 23:7 emphasizes the power of the mind, stating, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Recognizing that habits are deeply rooted in the subconscious mind, it becomes essential to reshape our thinking patterns. Real changes can be met with discipline and perseverance, especially when we are trying to change deep-rooted habits. This choice led me to embrace who I am and inspire others to do the same. Romans 12:2 says that transformation starts in the mind: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

To help your children develop good habits, you should be a good example by cultivating healthy habits like exercise, proper nutrition, enough sleep or by being punctual, loving, joyful; the list goes on… Putting your well-being first will improve your life, so be a great role model for your children and guide them toward a happy and fulfilling future. As Proverbs 22:6 advises, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.” Your dedication to positive change can become the foundation for a bright future where your children succeed.
