Mothers You Are Not Alone!

DAY 1 OF 6

Mothers, you are not alone!

Mom guilt is real. Whether you’re an existing mom, a new mom, or about to become a mom to a new little one for the second or third time, every mom wishes she had more time, more energy, more happiness, and more authenticity to give her children. You think, “If only I could be more centered, have more balance in life, be less tired…then my kids would really thrive.”

I know mom guilt well. As I was raising my two young boys, I heard this guilty voice daily. Was I doing enough? Would my kids fail to thrive if I couldn’t figure out how to be the perfect mum? The pressure to be a perfect parent was overwhelming, making me feel burnt out often before the day even began. But, as the guilty voice grew, I decided to look within and answer back. I knew deep down that what I was going through was not God’s plan. God doesn’t want us to go it alone. Remember Hebrews 13:5: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”The truth is that He never intended motherhood or parenting to be hard, painful, or challenging. All He wants for us is what we want for our children: the best!

As soon as I came to this realization, I became more open and receptive to His voice and guidance. “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known” Jeremiah 33:3. I started to look up for solutions and learned valuable lessons that created greater happiness and helped me take more time for myself with no guilt. I was rejuvenated.

His voice brought me here today to offer you my story as a mother. I’ve been there, and I profoundly know that we all deserve to be in that place where we can feel good, happy, relaxed, and rested, where we can be who we truly are, no matter our blessed decision to become mothers. All moms deserve to bloom so that they can spread their happiness and light to their children.

The time is now to harness your own self-care, rest, and relaxation as essential tools for raising healthy, happy children.“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.’ So, they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place” Mark 6:31–32.

When you are the best you, you are the best mom for your children.

‘It takes a village to raise a child’, an African proverb says. You are not alone, and this plan is a guide to the support and skills you can draw on throughout your parenting journey.
