The Promise

DAY 24 OF 42

Jesus’ Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem

Listen to "Jesus’ Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem":

Reflect

Jesus, the promised Savior, arrived in Jerusalem, knowing He would not be received for His true identity. Look at the extreme contrast between the joyful welcome the crowds gave him and the cold rejection He received from the religious leaders. The people loved Him, but the religious leaders — those who should have known best who He really was — hated Him. In this setting, Jesus wept over Jerusalem and the rejection He would receive from those in authority. Today, He still weeps over those who do not recognize that the Kingdom of God and His peace are available to them.

But just like in Jesus’ day, there are many now who, like the crowds along the road, understand and rejoice over Him. Let’s proclaim the arrival of the King to those around us, knowing that many will recognize Him, even though many won’t.

● Spend time soaking in Jesus’ identity as the promised Savior, King and beloved Son of God. Worship and adore Him.

● Who in your life doesn’t recognize Jesus? Pray for them. Share this story with them.

About this Plan

The Promise

Experience a different way of interacting with God’s Word. Deepen your intimacy with God by listening to an oral Bible story each day. Then allow His Word to transform you by reflecting on a short devotional. Grab a journal to record what you notice in the story and what God is saying to you through His Word.
