DAY 1 OF 7

Day 1: The Revelation of the Supernatural

Welcome to the Led by the Spirit plan! I’m Kent Mattox, and over the course of this plan, I hope to empower you with seven spiritual revelations from God’s Word covering a variety of topics.

Today, let’s get started by discussing the revelation of the supernatural – that is, how the presence of Heaven really is available here on earth.

Throughout the Bible, there are numerous passages that provide insights into the revelation of the supernatural and how the presence of Heaven can be experienced on Earth. Let's explore key verses that shed light on this topic, emphasizing the belief that Heaven's presence is accessible and real in the earthly realm...

Matthew 6:10 - “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done on Earth, just as it is in Heaven. This verse highlights the connection between the earthly and the divine. The presence of Heaven on Earth becomes evident when we seek to live in accordance with God's purpose.

Revelation 21:2-3 - “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.’”

The book of Revelation envisions a new Jerusalem descending from Heaven, symbolizing the union of the divine and the earthly. This passage suggests that the presence of Heaven is not limited to the afterlife but is accessible on Earth when God dwells among His people. It underscores the idea that Heaven can be realized through a harmonious relationship with God.

John 14:2-3 - “In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

These verses, spoken by Jesus, reassure believers of the promise of Heaven. They indicate that God is preparing a place for His followers in Heaven. However, they also suggest that the presence of Heaven is intertwined with the believer’s journey on Earth. It implies that Heaven's reality can be glimpsed in the companionship and guidance of the Holy Spirit in our earthly lives.

1 Corinthians 2:9 - “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him.”

This verse from Corinthians alludes to the extraordinary blessings and revelations that await those who love God. The supernatural, beyond human comprehension, is a part of God's plan for His people. It implies that the presence of Heaven is not just a future hope but can be glimpsed and experienced in the extraordinary blessings and revelations that God bestows upon those who love Him.

Through these passages, it becomes clear that Heaven’s presence is not limited to the afterlife but is available to those who seek a deeper relationship with God. The supernatural is not a distant, intangible concept; it is a reality that can be realized in the lives of believers who strive to live according to God’s purpose. As we strive to live in accordance with God’s will, we bring a piece of Heaven into our earthly existence, and the revelation of the supernatural becomes a profound and tangible experience.
