Spiritual Gifts

DAY 8 OF 15

A shovel, a tin can of soup, and a pair of socks. These objects might seem like random everyday items, but something ordinary like a shovel can be used to serve God! You could use a shovel to make a nice garden for someone who needs it or for your church. You could give the tinned soup to a food drive to distribute to people in need and those thick woollen socks to someone who needs them in winter.

Each of those objects was designed for a purpose. They have a specific thing that they were created to do. Each object is unique, different, and important. No matter what the object is, it can be used to serve God. We have each been given unique gifts, things that we’re good at doing. You don’t need to become a pastor or missionary to serve God with your gifts. God can use our everyday life to build His Kingdom. No matter what we are good at, God can use it! The Bible talks about offering ourselves as 'living sacrifices'. That means we serve God with every part of our lives.

We can serve God with our gifts. No matter what your gift is, there’s a place for you.
