Spiritual Gifts

DAY 11 OF 15

At Christmas time, families and friends exchange gifts. You might give a cool present to your brother and he gives a great present to you. We each prepare our gifts, wrap them, and put them under the tree, waiting for Christmas morning when we will take turns exchanging gifts with one another.

We each have different gifts that we share with those around us. Someone else’s gift helps us, and our gift helps them. It’s a gift exchange! God doesn’t give us special gifts and talents just for our own benefit. God gives us gifts to help others.

Imagine receiving a great gift and hiding it under your bed and never using it. Your gift can't help those around you if it stays hidden. The Bible talks about letting your light shine! Share the gifts God has given you with those around you.

Seeing someone using their God-given gifts and talents and doing the thing God made them to do is incredible. Think about a dancer whom God has given that creative gift and ability. Seeing them dance on stage with such precision and grace is amazing! Using our gifts points other people to God. When we use our gifts and glorify God, others can see God at work through us.

God gives us gifts to help others.
