Do you ever feel like other people don’t value your thoughts, opinions, or your voice in the world just because you’re not an adult? It can be super frustrating to feel that you can’t make a difference or have a say in the things that are important to you. Maybe you feel held back by others, or maybe you aren’t sure of the best way to get involved, or how to be a leader in a situation and be a positive influence to others.
When we read 1 Timothy 4:12, let it be an encouragement to you that you have what it takes! You have what it takes to help others, your voice matters, and you can make a difference to the people and situations in your life.
You are uniquely positioned in your family, school, community, and church to show up and make a difference. You have unique gifts and talents that you can use to lead and follow through with whatever circumstance presents itself.
Maybe you're a great listener, and you can use that gift to be a friend to someone who's going through a tough time. Or you're a talented musician, and you can use that gift to lead worship at your church. Maybe you're a natural athlete, and you can use that gift to encourage your teammates and represent Christ on the field. Whatever your gifts and talents are, Jesus has placed you where you are for a purpose.
Take it as a challenge for today to look around at the places God has put you and the people you’re connected to. Ask God to show you how you can use your gifts and talents to lead and follow through.

About this Plan
When you hear the word "leader," you might think about an influential celebrity, a famous politician, a coach, or your new class president. Great leaders don't have to have official positions, titles, or people who report to them. With God, being a great leader is something anyone can achieve because leadership is simply about becoming the kind of person who's worth following. But how?
