Do you get frustrated when adults tell you that "you have it easy" because you're a teenager? They don't remember the fact that life as a teenager can be pretty rough some days. You are trying to find your way through complex and often challenging situations. You may be struggling to love those around you who are difficult to get along with or who have hurt you. You may feel like it's easier to hold onto anger or resentment than to extend love and forgiveness.
In 1 John 4:19, we read, "We love because he first loved us." We are motivated to love others through our understanding that God loves us first. Without earning it or even fulling acknowledging it, God loves us. From there, we can use that love as an example in how we interact with others.
Truth is, leading with love is pretty hard at times, and requires us to rely on Jesus. When we choose to follow Jesus and ask for his help when it comes to loving others, we are tapping into an example of love in action. Jesus sets the tone in this by showing how he connects with God, how he was patient with people, how he looked for solutions to problems and how he ultimately would sacrifice himself on the cross so you could experience the fullness of God’s love, too.
So, my challenge to you today is to ask Jesus to help you lead with love. Use that vintage and classic line, "What Would Jesus Do?" to help you navigate the day and your interactions with those around you.

About this Plan
When you hear the word "leader," you might think about an influential celebrity, a famous politician, a coach, or your new class president. Great leaders don't have to have official positions, titles, or people who report to them. With God, being a great leader is something anyone can achieve because leadership is simply about becoming the kind of person who's worth following. But how?
