Going Places

DAY 23 OF 28

Suppose you're hanging out in class when suddenly, the teacher announces they have to take an important phone call that will last about ten minutes. Then they ask you to cover for them and teach the class . . . and you can teach them anything you want! You've got ten minutes. All you have to do is keep the rest of the class engaged and on track until the teacher gets back.

What are you going to teach about? The history of the Golden State Warriors? A breakdown of every Taylor Swift album? An intro to anime? Whatever it is, you'd better make sure you know your stuff. You've got no time to prepare. You've just got to go to the front of the class and start talking.

This is what it can feel like to tell your friends about Jesus. It may seem like you have to give an oral report on the entire Bible in front of the whole class. It's kind of scary. You're not an expert on the whole entire Bible. What if you get something wrong?

Don't worry. These feelings are totally normal. And more importantly, the Bible itself says that you don't need to be a genius about Scripture to tell people about Jesus. You just need to show people love.

Jesus told his disciples that people will know who his followers are based on how much they love each other. So don't worry about giving your friends a lecture. Just show them love.

About this Plan

Going Places

Friends are the people we’ve spent countless hours with telling stories, laughing, and creating memories together. Great friendships are more than just having people to hang out with, but how do you find friends like that? How do you build the kinds of friendships that last? And what do you do if you feel like your friendships aren't everything you'd want them to be?
