Jesus and PornSample

Proverbs 24:16a says, “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.” None of us are perfect, and we all make mistakes. We must practice daily to create new and better habits. Practice helps us get back up again! If you make a mistake and get involved with porn again, the Holy Spirit will convict you of your mistake. Don’t let that one mistake make you feel like a failure. Remember, porn does not own you nor define you. God created you to be a warrior.

One of my favorite movies is Rocky. He says, “Our greatest glory is not in falling, but rising every time we fall.” Rocky’s point is, get back up and keep moving forward! Don’t let porn pull you down, fight against it and keep moving forward.

“ Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me– everything you heard from me and saw me doing.” - Philippians 4:9a

What can you do now to get back up and fight against porn? What strongholds can you prepare to put in place now to help you fight and keep moving forward?

Prayer:

“ Father, Thank you for never giving up on me when I fall. You are always there to help me get back up. You could have left me but didn’t because you love me so much. Thank you for your mercy and love. If I fall, I ask that you convince me to turn to you, help me get back up again, and push forward. In Jesus’ name. Amen!”
