Messy ChristmasSample
Glory isn’t a word we use very often. It means to express praise and honor in an unusual way that is usually directed toward someone who has done something extraordinary. Jesus definitely fits this description! Jesus came to Earth to heal, rescue, love, and provide grace and mercy to everyone. He set out to do this, and through His death and resurrection, He got it done. This is why so many of the songs we sing at Christmas are better than just catchy melodies. In fact, this verse is actually words from a song the angels sang to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
This week, try to memorize this verse by putting the words to the tune of your favorite Christmas song. Use some of the fun of this season to memorize this truth: God deserves the glory for sending Jesus, the One who brought us peace.

About this Plan
“Joy to the world” is a catchy lyric, but real joy can seem totally impossible when life feels messy. When we think of “Christmas,” we think of “joyful celebration," but what happens when the holiday season doesn’t match what’s actually happening around us? We’ll discover that Christmas can still be a season of joy, even when life feels messy.
