Through the Bible: RevelationSample

Life of Patient Endurance and Faithfulness
"If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people. Revelation 13:10 (NIV)
With his wife Gladys and three children, Graham Staines went to Orissa, India to work in a leprosy home while taking care of the tribals around them.
A religious fanatic from another faith burned the jeep where Graham Staines and his two sons were sleeping. This man was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. Gladys Staines issued a statement saying that she had forgiven the killer and had no bitterness towards all those involved. She chose to continue to serve the lepers, the work her husband; and she did in India for 15 years.
Her statement, "I cannot just leave those people who love and trust us. I have high regard for the people of India and their tolerance," is an example of someone who exhibited patient endurance and faithfulness to God's people.
Prayer
Father, we pray that in our most profound, difficult moments, Your grace would sustain us and help us be patient and faithful. In Jesus' name, Amen.
About this Plan

Just as there is a beginning, there is an end. Revelation reveals how Jesus will come back soon to judge all evil, reward His followers, and restore the paradise He once created–a place without sin, sorrow, and death. Readers are promised with a blessing if they hear and keep what is written in the book. Despite its difficulty, this is undoubtedly a book worth our time to unravel.
