A quick internet search of famous quotes comes up with some funny sayings. We love to quote people. It's how Twitter became so popular. People used this outlet for everyone to share their best one-liners. While some famous quotes are memorable, none are more life-changing than Jesus' last words.
In Matthew, we see Jesus give a final mission to his followers. The mission was to tell other people about Jesus, teach how Jesus lived, and live a life according to how Jesus lived. Jesus wanted more people to know him and trusted his followers to help others connect with him. The more we learn about God's Kingdom, the more we discover our role. So while Jesus may have been speaking to his followers at that moment, we can also take on that charge.
Today, reflect on how you can grow within God's Kingdom.

About this Plan

Some things are hard to understand — like chemistry or verb conjugations. When we face a problem we're struggling to understand, it helps to know someone we trust can explain it to us. Jesus spent time helping his followers understand difficult ideas about God. Jesus did this by using stories and metaphors, called parables. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum we’ll unpack Jesus’ teachings.
