CTRL + H
If you have realized you typed a word multiple times and have found a better alternative for it since then, you do not have to frantically search through your whole document to replace it. By using the shortcut CTRL + H, a pop up bar called “Find and Replace” will appear. It allows you to locate the word or phrase you used and have two options: “Find,” where you type what you originally wrote, and “Replace,” where you will type in your replacement. Then just click the “Replace” button and the change is made.
Spiritual Principles
Many of us get caught in the vicious cycle of putting ourselves down and creating negative thought patterns. Here are two examples of lies you may believe that you can combat with truth:
Maybe you hear a small whisper saying, “you are not good enough” or “just give up, your life is not worth living.” But the truth is that you are valuable! Psalm 139 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You were knit together by God himself inside of your mother’s womb. Let’s ponder that last part together. “Knit together” means you were uniquely made – planned out on purpose for a purpose.
There is a story in Matthew 18 about a wandering sheep whose shepherd left the ninety-nine other sheep to go find the one that got lost. Maybe you feel like this lost sheep, and you have told yourself that no one is seeking you – wanting to love you and support you. But there is a God in Heaven who is! Through salvation, you were adopted into the eternal family of God (Eph. 1:5; Rom. 8:12-17; 1 Cor. 12:27). God is your Heavenly Father, and He will not neglect you. This Father will never leave you doubting. This Father will not leave you struggling – instead He will give you exactly what you need.
No matter what lies you have believed, you can decide to go into that toolbar and hit CTRL + H. Replace all the lies, the doubts, the times you felt you were not enough; replace them with truth from God’s Word.
