"You Are the Church"

Think about all the different kinds of church buildings you have seen in your life. Some are boxy, some have a lot of shapes surrounding them, some are tall, some look fancy, some are in store fronts, some look like a house, and some are actually in a house! Even though church buildings come in all different shapes and sizes, it’s not the building that makes the Church. What makes the Church are the people that meet together and the relationships they share while serving others and worshiping God.

The Bible says that God’s Church is the hope of the world, which means He thinks it is pretty important. If God thinks the Church is important, don’t you think you should too?

This week, talk to your parents about making a commitment as a family to go and meet with the other people who make up the church so that you can serve with them and worship God. When you do, you will be pleasing God and making a difference in the lives of others. Remember: It’s not the building that makes the Church, it’s the people who worship there.
