"Give Your Praise to God, Not Yourself"

What are some things that you are good at? It feels good when you do those things, doesn’t it? Did you know that God has given you abilities that only you have and that He wants you to use those abilities to share His love with others? It’s true! However, there is a danger lurking right around the corner when you use those abilities, and that danger is Pride. Pride is when you think, because of the good things you can do, that you are better than you really are or that you are better than others. But whenever Pride comes around, you need to remember that all the abilities you have are given to you by God. If you do, you will remember that He deserves the praise for the good things you can do, not you!

This week, whenever you do something well, stop and take time to praise God for your ability to do it. Remember: If God hadn’t given you the abilities you have, you would never have been able to do the things you can do in the first place.
