Building A Life That Is Pleasing To God!

DAY 5 OF 8

"Keep God Your Priority"

What are some things you can take with you places? You can take a picnic blanket to the park, you can take your suitcase to spend the night at your grandparents’ house, and you can take a book to the library. Now think about some things you can’t take with you to different places? You can’t take a car on an airplane, you can’t carry all of your toys to the store, and you can’t carry an elephant on your bike.

Speaking of things you can’t take with you places, did you know you can’t take any physical things with you to Heaven? It’s true! The things of this earth will only last during this lifetime and so you need to be careful to never let those things become more important to you than serving and loving God. In fact, if there is anything you think you can’t live without, that thing is in danger of becoming more important to you than God.

Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to enjoy the things that you have. However, they should never become more important to you than God. God should always be the most important. Remember: God should always be your highest priority.

Watch this Bible Video to learn about the parable of a man who built extra grain storage and see how you should make God your priority in life instead of money or things:
