You follow directions every day. It could be the directions for a recipe, instructions for a board game, directions for putting together a toy or model, or even instructions for using the remote control. When you are following directions, you are following a plan.

What would the end result be if you had a plan to follow, but chose not to follow it? The thing you were making wouldn’t work right or taste right or look right. In fact, it would be a big mess.

Just like you should follow the plans for a board game or recipe, you also need to follow the plans that God has for your life. You can learn what those plans are by reading the Bible. But you can’t just read the Bible, you also need to do what it says… you need to follow the Bible’s instructions. Remember: God’s plan is a good plan, but if you don’t follow it, your life will end up a big mess.
