GOD’S WORD: Seek

READ:
“I know it’s in here somewhere!” Ada emptied her sock bin on the floor.
“Maybe it’s in the laundry,” said Manny.
“But I was wearing them this morning.” Ada held up one sock. “See? I took them off right here. I can’t wear just one.” Ada frowned. “I’ve lost my favorite sock.”
“I’m going to search!” announced Manny. “Come on, Ada, are you really going to give up?”

ASK: Have you ever lost something? A sock or a mitten? Did you feel like Ada? Or did you look and look until you found it?

SAY: Sometimes we feel like we’ve lost our joy or hope. We might feel like Jesus is nowhere to be found. But guess what?! Jesus is never far away. All we have to do is look for him. If we believe in Jesus, we can’t ever lose him!

PRAY: Dear Jesus, thank you for being with me even when I cannot see you. When I am afraid or feel like I am lost, help me to look for you everywhere. I don’t ever want to give up. Amen.

ADA’S CHOICE:
“Think real hard,” said Manny. “Why did you take off your socks?”
“I was playing with my dress-up princess shoes, and - Manny!” Ada ran to her dress-up bin and threw off the lid. “My favorite sock! We found it!”
Manny laughed. “You found it. I didn’t do much.”
“Yes, you did,” said Ada. “You didn’t let me give up.”
