May I Have Your Attention, Please?
Matthew 6:34
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (MSG)
Some teachers play a video to get the students’ attention during the lesson. Some others use props. Some might use a wireless microphone so that when they speak, the students will listen and pay attention to them.
How about you? What do you do to get your parent’s attention?
This time, God asked Jeremiah to use a potter’s clay jar to get the attention of the Israelites! Jeremiah smashed the jar into tiny pieces, demonstrating that the Israelites’ hardened hearts will lead to a broken nation populated by broken people.
There are many ways God uses to get our attention, through His blessing, His creation, His word, or even through our disappointment. God wants to tell us each day that He cares about us, so pay attention to Him!
Prayer
Dear God, help me to be more attentive and aware of Your presence in my life. Amen.
