Victory When You Step Out of Your Comfort Zone And Into Faith

“Jesus said, “Come!” Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus.”

Sometimes we have this thinking that faith is only there for times of emergency. Some people fall back to it as a last resort or a parachute. However, our faith is made for every part

Peter and the disciples are in a storm, and they saw a man coming towards them on the water. I don’t care who you are; if you see this, you start to question what you are seeing. Peter and the rest of the disciples thought it was a ghost. So, Peter threw a test out there and said, “Lord, if that’s you, tell me to come.” So, when Jesus said come, Peter responded and walked on water. 

God is calling you to walk on water. I don’t mean precisely like what Peter did, but God is calling you to step out of the boat, out of your comfort zone, and walk in the power that God has for you. Now is NOT the time to only do things based on your strength. You have the Greater One, the Spirit of Truth, living in you. Why keep doing things without His help?

There are some things that we won’t do in your life unless you depend on God. Weare made to rely on Him and sometimes we just don’t want to because we   want to control as much as we can. 

When you try to control everything, God is left with nothing.

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart, rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.”

- Proverbs 3:5 TPT

Today, look for opportunities to step out in faith. Allow God to use His power through you, rather than using your limited capacity. When something comes up that you don’t know the answer to, ask God for wisdom based on James 1:5. It might be starting the project that you put down because you gave up. Whatever  it is, do it and let God work through YOU!

Confession Today

“As Peter stepped out on the water, I will step out today in faith. I will not wait until the waters are calm, but I will be quick to obey. I will trust God, and I will give Him control so that He has everything to work with. I will see every opportunity that’s in front of me to do what God has called me to do.”
