Just Like YouSample
Have you ever tried to do something by yourself that was meant for two people? What was that experience like for you? Were you frustrated? Did you give up? There are many times in our lives where we try to do things all by ourselves, and this verse reminds us that, apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. What areas in your life are you trying to do on your own? Are there things you are trying to hide from God? Are there things you are doing that you keep away from God? What would it look like to remain in Jesus in all areas of your life? Over the next ten days, we want to challenge you to take some time and focus on remaining in Jesus. Just like a branch on a grapevine won’t produce grapes if it breaks off the vine, you will not be able to show others Jesus through your actions if you don’t spend time surrendering everything to him.
Challenge: Today, we challenge you to make a commitment to remain connected to Jesus throughout your day. Take some time every night to think back over your day and look for ways you showed Jesus to others. Remember, the big way to influence others is to show them Jesus, so they can also make the decision to follow Him.

About this Plan
Everyone wants to make a difference in this world. However, what God says about influence and what the world says sometimes compete. Over the next ten days, we will look at what God says about influence. How do we use our influence for His purposes? How does what God says about influence differ from what the world teaches?
