Week Two - Day One - I am Created for Great Things

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to search for treasure in the Bible over the next few weeks, as we look at different people who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious treasure inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘Joseph’s Colourful Robe’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 71-77) or in Genesis 37.

Jacob was a man of God. God had blessed Jacob with lots of children and animals. He had everything that he needed! 

Joseph was one of Jacob’s 12 sons! Jacob loved him so much so he bought him a beautiful, colourful robe! 

Joseph’s brothers were very jealous of Joseph and they wanted to have beautiful robes just like him! 

It can be easy to feel jealous of other people sometimes when they have something that we want. We have to remember that God has made us all unique and special. He has a plan for every one of us and promises to give us all everything that we need. 

ASK:

Has anyone ever had something that you really, really wanted? 

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. 

What you have done is wonderful.  I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
