 Week Two - Day Three - I am Created for Great Things 

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to dig into what this means over the next few weeks, as we look at different people in the Bible who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious gold inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘Joseph’s Colourful Robe’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 71-77) or in Genesis 37. 

Joseph’s brothers were angry that he was given his beautiful, colourful robe and that they would have to bow down to him.  

They threw him into a dry well and sold him to some men as a slave. They told Jacob that Joseph had been killed by a wild animal. 

His brothers weren’t very nice to him and Joseph had to deal with some things that were hard, but he knew that God was still with him! God still loved him very much, He still had a plan for Joseph and Joseph was still created for great things!  

Sometimes you might go through things that are hard, but we can remember that God is always with us and that He loves us so much! You can have faith when things are hard that God will help you and that you are still created for great things! 

ASK:

What hard things are happening right now around you? 

Remember that you can have faith that God will use all bad things for good!

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. 

What you have done is wonderful.  I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
