It started with a shred of gossip and ended with a shredded friendship. It started with a cigarette and ended with lung cancer. It started with slight of hand and ended with a prosecutable fraud. It started with a need for leisure and ended with loss of fellowship.
It started with compromise and ended with a loss of integrity. It started with a fantasy and ended with a nightmare. It started with prejudice and ended in genocide. It started with a careless word and ended with estrangement. It started with a freshening breeze and ended with a hurricane. When you cross moral and ethical boundaries you will find yourself on a slippery slope that ends in the valley of regret.
The seed we sow generates a windfall of blessing or a whirlwind of sorrow. Be careful what you sow. When it’s out of your hands, it’s out of your control.
