There's Hope For TodaySample
Few have ever taken God up on this astonishing proposition, but those daring few changed their world.
Africa had David Livingstone. China had Hudson Taylor. India had William Carey. Tibet had Victor Plymire. The results were not always seen within the lifetimes of these missionary pioneers, but what has grown from the seed they planted is a direct answer to their requests: “Lord, give us the nations.” Because evil seems so prevalent in this twilight of the age, we make a grave error when we assume that God is not working on the world stage. Revival could break out at any moment in Cuba, Iran, Sri Lanka, or Vietnam.
God doesn’t have to initiate great movements from the west. As the day of the Lord draws near, we will watch in awe as nations we evangelize send missionaries to America to evangelize us. Are we praying that God would flood these nations with His Spirit? We often ask for things we don’t really need, but we don’t ask for great things! If heaven will allow us regret, we will all regret that we didn’t ask largely of God.
If we ever see what we settled for, compared to what He held in store for us, I think heaven will have at least one cloudy day – one sorrowful moment.
